Welcome

Welcome

Our name says who we are; a boating club. In June 1958, Dick Millison conceived the idea of a club for mobile boaters who wanted to cruise in the company of others. In December of 1958, 137 “Northwest Outboard Trailer Sailors” (NOTS) approved the bylaws and Dick was elected the first commodore. Since that beginning, some of the boats have gotten bigger and the name was changed in 2010 to NOTS Boating Club, but the same spirit of adventure and love of boating remains.

Our fleet includes boats from runabouts under 20’ to cruisers 50’ and longer. Our membership is as diverse as the kind of boats we have, but we all share a common love of boating. Above all, we are a cruising club. We have 18 cruises scheduled for 2024. If your desire is to spend time on the water with family and good friends, then NOTS may be the club for you.

CRYA Columbia River Yachting Association

We would like to show our appreciation for the Columbia River Yachting Association (CRYA) as they serve as a central coordinator for the member club’s cruising schedules, eliminating many conflicts. They keep the clubs aware of local, state, and federal government activities and rule-making that effects boats, boating, and boaters. They work to develop new recreational boating facilities and last but not least, for promoting safe boating and water safety activities.
