Welcome To NOTS Boating Club

Our name says who we are; a boating club. In June 1958, Dick Millison conceived the idea of a club for mobile boaters who wanted to cruise in the company of others. In December of 1958, 137 “Northwest Outboard Trailer Sailors” (NOTS) approved the bylaws and Dick was elected the first commodore. Since that beginning, some of the boats have gotten bigger and the name was changed to NOTS Boating Club in 2010, but the same spirit of adventure and love of boating remains.

Our fleet includes boats from runabouts under 20’ to cruisers 50’ and longer. Our membership is as diverse as the kind of boats we have, but we all share a common love of boating.

Above all, we are a cruising club. We have 23 cruises scheduled for 2012 and an additional 8 land events. If your desire is to spend time on the water with family and good friends, then NOTS may be the club for you.

If you would like more information, check out our membership page or email us at membership@notsboatingclub.com. We hope you will join us.

Our Mission

The purpose of NOTS is to provide family boating activities. NOTS promotes boating safety education and encourages construction and maintenance of boating related facilities on the navigable waters of the Northwest. NOTS makes every effort to be knowledgeable and involved in legislative matters affecting boaters.
